About Us

We are a UK based web development company.  We have a shop in Glasgow and we have been building websites since 1995.  Althought we're based in Glasgow, many of our clients are from the London area.  In 2006 our company went limited (the official title of the company is Parker & Hobbes Ltd). Our company registration number is 313010. 

Our technologies of choice for buildilng web applications are PHP and MySQL.  Since July 2010 we have been using the PHP framework, Codeigniter, for web development.  However, we also support the Zend framework.  In the near future we hope to offer full support for the Yii framework also.  As well as web development, we also offer; website design, search engine optimisation, website repairs and internet marketing consultations.  From time to time we also organise our own internet marketing courses. 

In recent years, many UK based web development companies have struggled to compete with cheap freelance, overseas developers.  However, thanks to our speedy production methods and our outstanding post sales technical support, we have remained competetive where other web development companies have either gone under or opted for outsourcing.     

We never outsource.  The reason we don't outsource is because we are fanatical about delivering outstanding post sale technical support.  Everything we build is guaranteed and given full technical support for two years.  We cannot find any overseas or freelance web developers who match our guarantee.

We are committed to the ongoing mastery of the latest cutting web technologies.  We never stop learning.  However, in spite of this we believe that one of our strongest asset is probably our experience.  As far as we're aware we were the first commerical PHP developers in Scotland.  Over the years we've built hundreds of websites and web applications.  We've had the pleasure of seeing many of our clients becoming extremely successful on the web.  We understand how the web works and we're eager to pass this knowledge onto our clients.
